One of the “must see” attractions in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia. The size of this structure cannot be overstated. The main challenge here was its sheer size. It was nearly impossible to find a vantage point where you could get it all in frame. Having a travel companion who isn’t as interested in getting the most unique capture can also be problematic but is far preferable to traveling alone.
To me, the Passion Facade was the most striking with the sculptor Subirachs’ gaunt, tormented characters, including emaciated figures of Christ being flogged and on the crucifix. The Nativity Facade is done in a cross between the Gothic and Gaudi’s Art Nouveau styles.
