Finished up Documentary Photography with Ben DeSoto at HCP today. Overall it was a good experience. It was a lecture/discussion style class with an opportunity to get different perspectives on the documentary style of photography. Ben DeSoto has a great lecture style and a breadth of practical experience to share.

Hopefully HCP will expand this class into a true workshop with critique. This class would be really great if it was offered as a 6-8 session workshop over a 4-6 month period that allowed for lecture, choosing a subject, a couple of months to develop and shoot a project, and then bring to class for critique. After that, another month or so to complete the project that would be ready for publication or show.
