Streets and markets of Nice, France 2009

Woman at the Cours Saleya in Nice, France by Michael Sanderson

The first port of call on my cruise of the Mediterranean this past fall was Nice, France. We actually tendered in Cannes and took a bus to Nice. Beautiful old world streets, markets, and architecture. My favorite part of Nice was the Cours Saleya – the daily flower/food market in the old square. There were of course lots of tourists, but it wasn’t overly crowded. Great street food and pastries. We only got to stay a couple of hours as our next stop on the tour was Monaco. You can see more images of this set in the Streets and Markets of Nice, France gallery.
