Crossbow Trigger Mechanism

I took this photo about a year ago at the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit. To date it is one of the highest viewed individual photos in my Flickr photostream. Most of the hits are from Google searches for crossbow trigger mechanisms. Since that is the title of the image I guess it makes sense. But, are there really that many people out there wanting info on or about ancient Chinese crossbows?

  1. Probably not Chinese ones, since that wasn’t in your title or in your description. I have found that having very straight forward generic names to things really helps in Google searches. I wish I could say that I was totally gaming the system on my photoblog and naming things thus for more traffic, but the truth is I am boring and can only think of straight forward titles for things.

  2. lol – I was giving them the benefit of the belief they were history buffs. I guess the larger question then is “Why are so many folks out there looking for images of crossbow trigger mechanisms?”
