This was my first walk and I had a great time in the Houston Museum District group. The weather was typical Houston July weather – hot and humid but wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Our group leader Photine did a great job of putting together a walk itinerary as well as working with the museums in the district getting us access to areas that aren’t always friendly to photographers.

It was a lot of fun seeing the looks on peoples faces as a herd of 50 people with cameras and tripods move en masse from spot to spot, set up, take pictures, and move on the the next stop. It’s always good when a group of enthusiastic and creative people get together. I wish I had been able to go to the get together dinner after the walk. I definitely hope we have a group this year in 2011.
